Excellent stay

Liked: Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts good value, especially the Full Scottish which set me up for the day. Rooms were comfortable and didn't get much noise from the nearby main road. Will definitely stay there again

As above, warm, comfortable and...

Liked: Good location, warm comfortable and staff were very pleasant.
Disliked: Just a couple of niggly things. The food on the night was ok....just fine. Ok if you wanted fried food...cant go wrong with that! The breakfast was ok too, we had to ask for toast though, abit stingy there. Plus...10am check out on a Sunday is not great....11am at least would make it more of a break away!

Very good

Liked: All in all, a good choice of hotel. food was excellent (both breakfast and evening meal) with a good choice. staff were friendly and welcoming, and my room in general was OK.
Disliked: There are different stds of room and some of my colleagues didnt sleep too well in the twin rooms. The showers seemed to be inconsistent too, with a couple of comments about them being a bit cold. The location is fine if you're just looking for a quiet place with good food, but there isnt a lot going on in the immediate surroundings....but that's the Scottish Borders ! so cant complain about that
