Liked: Beautiful historic hotel. Friendly staff.
Disliked: Parking showed on the website but found out upon arriving that it was not on-site. We were fortunate to have found a parking spot half a bock away on the next street. Staff did tell us about parking garages near the hotel.

Condescending customer care

Liked: Room was fine. Noisy as on the main street and at a low level, but I was tired and slept ok
Disliked: Customer service was appalling. I requested a refund as I was forced to return home early due to personal issues. I was treated incredibly condescendingly by the manager who told me it was "not their policy", that "I looked like a person who travelled a lot, so surely I would buy a refundable option? It's not that much more." (Note that I have recently started my own business, do not have time to review the fine print and am trying to save money!) That, "the hotel was totally booked up and so it would not be possible." This last point was a blatant lie as I had only booked the prior day and there had been 5+ different room types available - she was extremely embarrassed when I pointed this out. Finally, she told me that she was not really bothered if I became a repeat customer, so was not going to worry if I didn't return.
