Very good

Liked: Room was extremely clean. Very comfy bed. Huge clean bathroom. Very fun art-deco style with local flair. We had a room with a river view. It was gorgeous. Perfect distance from hot spots on Beale Street. Everything was up to the expected Hyatt Standards. Would definitely stay there again.
Disliked: The elevators and rooms were a LONG walk away from the front desk - like about half a city block. For most people it wouldn't be an issue at all but for someone with mobility issues, it was a real challenge.

Liked: The location was great - I was too tired to explore the hotel amenities but it looked lovely. Breakfast was delicious. I slept like a baby
Disliked: The Valet parking layout was a mess. Cars were parked alongside the front of the building and I had to wait for people to leave to find a spot to check in and turn my key in for Valet parking. Maybe I arrived at the wrong time - but there should have been staff out there clearing space for people as they pulled up. I had to check in before they took my car - efficiency would have suggested they have a luggage cart to put my things in, check in my car (we had to pay for valet anyway) and then let me go to the counter and check in - I can give my valet ticket to the desk when I do this so they add it to my bill. I was tired, and not liking the first impression I had of the hotel. I planned this hotel specifically because I wanted to enjoy Beale Street and possibly have a view of the river.

I would stay here again.

Liked: Two blocks from Beale St. walked to Sun Studios and civil rights museum. Had an in house cafe. Quirky good size comfortable rooms. Very comfortable bed with lovely linen.
Disliked: Nothing.

the rooms were nice, but...

Liked: The location and facility was very nice. The valet guy David was very nice trying to correct an unexpected issue.
Disliked: my family and I rode motorcycles from St Louis to Memphis for one day. When we got there the valet guy told us that we could park in the front on the side, but didn't tell us we had to pay a $16 fee for each bike until the next morning during checkout. We feel it was a bait and switch when we could have paid to park in the garage and our bikes would not have gotten soaked from the rain. David the other valet guy tried to accommodate the next day. But, to no avail. We will most certainly tell our family and friends to pay attention to what you are being charged for in the small print! Will not be returning to Caption by Hyatt!!! They collected well over a $100 in fees! Very disappointed customer
