NYE holiday stay

Liked: Comfortable bed, ear plugs provided in case of train noise, and love the clawfoot tub. Fridge kept items cold without freezing. Received promotional discount even though booked on a 3rd party website.
Disliked: No tidying in the room during our three night stay. Winter snow and salt/gravel tracked in on our boots was never cleaned, garbage not removed, and no clean drinking glasses provided. Stained face cloth and shower curtain. Front desk staff did not ask any questions about our stay upon check out.

Exceptional

Rooms need to be reasonably...

Liked: It was a stylish hotel, nicely decorated.
Disliked: The walls are very thin. The gentleman in the next room was coughing all night, with the tv on very low. However, you could hear everything in the connecting rooms. It was like you were in the same room. I did not get any sleep .

Superb

Nice facility, but be aware...

Liked: Third floor hot tub and outdoor patio area, bar and food, comfy beds, decor, some view of Rainy Lake/River.
Disliked: Trains all night, trees blocked a lot of view to most of the lake, shower only (was looking forward to one of those advertised deep tubs!), floors both carpet and tile need a good scrubbing, couldn’t keep fan on constant for white noise to cover up train noises coming and going, neighborhood is really run down compared to this beautiful building.

Interesting boutique hotel in attractive...

Liked: Very attractive hotel that has a very nice restaurant and a distillery as part of its operation. Room and bed very comfortable. Nice rooftop deck to watch the sunset.
Disliked: Breakfast not included or available at the hotel, and rooms are rather pricey (but very nice).

Liked: Very stylish. Fabulous 3rd floor deck with hot tub. Comfortable bed and bedding.
Disliked: Little close to train. Although a very cool story. Train stops and waits behind hotel as engineers from US and Canada switch to continue journey.
