Liked: staff very helpful; breakfast was exceptional, location wonderful - a real privilege to be within grounds of the cathedral, and able to visit there while staying
Disliked: very little could be improved - just add shampoo in rooms, and personally prefer individual soaps etc

Liked: The location is exceptional - so quiet and with magnificent views of the cathedral.
Disliked: It feels a little spartan. I never found where the bar was to be able to sit and relax away from my room.

Perfect location when visiting Canterbury

A unique location and hotel....

Liked: This is my 2nd visit and I love the special location over looking the Cathedral and being able to have access to the grounds when it is not open to the public. The dining room is one of my favourite hotel dining rooms, bright and airey, with the lovely white table cloths. The breakfasts are superb, huge choice and I like being able to book a time slot so that it is cooked to order. I again had a lower floor room which was comfortable with a wonderful view of the Cathedral. The staff are exceptional both in the dining room and reception. Friendly and willing to help and the access to bottled, filtered water is very welcome. I also love the dry gardens outside the hotel. Please do not change anything about the hotel, it is perfect as it is.
Disliked: My headboard on the bed creaked every time I leant against it. Not a huge issue just a tad annoying!
