Expensive for a down-stater, but...
Liked: Hotel was quite unique relative to big chain hotels. Tall ceilings helped with overall feel. The room was small, but very adequate for a quick overnight. Location was great for hitting Michigan Ave or other shopping, Art Institute, Union Station…
Disliked: The bathroom shower was not very luxurious. It was small and the shower head system was not powerful enough.

Elegant but simple.
Liked: I liked the decor and the location to Union Station. I thought the staff was friendly and helpful for the most part. The lobby and room were clean and well maintained. Although the security was a little cumbersome, I felt better knowing it was there. There weren't a lot of food items to choose from for breakfast, but the food was good.
Disliked: The bed was too low. Being in a corner suite, we heard a lot of street noise. The hotel lobby/restaurant/bar were very minimal but nicely appointed. Sometimes it was difficult to find someone behind the bar or food counter.

Would not stay here again,...
Liked: Close to the things we wanted to do.
Disliked: Did not like that it did not have on site parking. Did not like the experience at the front desk when checking in, we were having issues with the card reader and the front desk employee said “well give it a minute! It’s been running all day” …several minutes later, she was clicking a lot on her screen and then it popped up for me to pay. She also did not tell us that you have to scan your room key in the elevator to get to your floor. There were also no signs in the elevator stating that. Luckily we just figured it out after a while of not getting to our floor. We had 2 rooms, one room was cooling off fine, but the other would not get to target temperature at all, it was very hot and muggy, we called front desk and they did send someone up pretty quickly to fix the issue. Was also not able to enjoy the rooftop outdoor area as it was “unfortunately closed” for some reason. Fridge in room did not close all the way. Didn’t need the fridge, but for how much our rooms cost for only ONE night, you’d expect the little things to work/function properly.
