Candlewood Suites San Marcos By IHG

Very disappointed.

Disliked: Our reservation was given to someone else and no one called us about the “mistake”. We only found out when we showed up. We were fortunate to find one of the last rooms in San Marcos at a very lower end motel. We had to stay in town due to moving our daughter into college. I think we should have been comped a night for a future stay.

Good

Liked: Very spacious! Not crowded in room
Disliked: Elevator didn't work, were on 3rd floor. Had knee trouble after climbing stairs. Made rest of our stay not so great.

Disliked: The elevator worked sometimes other times out of order. No ice machine working at all. Roaches in room and pool was dirty

Disliked: There was no ice machine working. The pool was dirty. There were roaches crawling in the room. You would think when booking 2 rooms they would at least put you on the same floor. One was on first and one was on the third floor. The elevator only worked a little of the time. Was not happy at all with this stay.

Disliked: There was a smell when we entered the facility. The room was not cleaned daily.

Disliked: I left my purse and called them to tell them and was told they would call me back and never got a call back.
