Hotel has everything!
Liked: I have been several times to the Candlewood to visit my grandchild, who lives nearby. The hotel has a great location near everything, it has a kitchenette in the room, free coffee downstairs, free laundry downstairs too. Very comfortable. They are also good on responding when you need something.
Disliked: This time my room was by the pool and the lights are on til late. Even though I closed the curtains, it still came through strong. Also I didn't have any spoons in the kitchen and I had to go and sign a paper to get two wine glasses, which I found it a little too much.

Good
Liked: Good location and pretty clean.
Disliked: Hotel showing some wear. Towels had holes in them. We had a 5-hour power outage and thought we should have been offered some minimal credit for the inconvenience.

Good price and location but...
Liked: Location
Disliked: Bathroom was dingy and in need of repairs to caulking . Charged extra because it’s a “Disney Property”

BEWARE OF SECRET FEES
Disliked: Stayed here for 15 nights. I would not recommend staying in room 140 - It is on the ground floor and directly next to the exit door to the parking Garage - so the large door bangs loudly each and every time someone uses it.Mid stay the hotel randomly tried to charge me $119, which my bank flagged. Within 10 minutes they then tried to charge me $50, $20 & then $10. Resulting in my bank account being totally frozen. I had to ring my bank in Ireland to get my account unfrozen, this took 40 minutes out of my day while in Universal Studios. I had no option to call as the hotel doing this had frozen all my payment methods. I asked for an itemized list to be printed for me on my return. It wasn't printed when I returned. She wcoudl not explain the $119 charge - as it didn't sum up. She was extremely dismissive of the inconvenience trying to charge my card 4 times within 10 mins. There was a $50 deposit. There is also a 'Resort Fee' of $10 per night plus taxes, which wasn't mentioned at check in.Rooms are cleaned once a week. We checked in on a Saturday, the following Saturday I asked when the room was due to be cleaned.. They said the Sunday, but apparently Housekeeping does not work on Sunday, so it would be done Monday. After 4:00pm on Monday I asked reception if it was going to be done, I was told it was still early in the day for Housekeeping. It was not cleaned. That night I asked the reception to make sure it was cleaned, he was apparently going to put it in his night hand over. On Tuesday we had to approach reception and ask to make sure the room was cleaned. It was cleaned Tuesday, after 11 nights & having to ask 5 times.Towards the end of our stay we didn't have to give our room number and were met with responses of 'Ohhh I know your room number off by heart'. They would not need to if my room was cleaned as agreed & my card was not attempted to be charged 4 times within 10 minutes.
