Liked: The Village Hostels Canberra offers a fantastic stay with friendly staff and a central location. The common areas are well-designed, the kitchen is fully equipped, and the rooms are comfortable and clean. I highly recommend it for a memorable and convenient stay in Canberra

Friendly staff, questionable cleanliness

Liked: Staff were friendly and super helpful and had great positive attitude/energy to the job. They were the highlight of the hostel. Downsides were the bedrooms had no power points to charge any personal items, only power points were located in the lockers.
Disliked: One of the couches is completely broken, so when you sit on it you sink right through the couch into the floor, so you are stuck in the couch and have trouble getting out, otherwise the customer lounge room was quite nice and with a big TV for patrons to watch Netflix or tv series.The lift for the hostel has all the lights busted in it, so when the lift door shuts you’re in complete and utter darkness until the doors open again at your designated floor. The bathrooms were horrifying, there was a broken tap in the mens bathroom/showers with water constantly running for a good 24 hours I’d say. There was black & pink all throughout the bathroom (around the sinks, near the toilets). It honestly was the worst bathrooms I’ve ever encountered in a hostel.
