Disappointed and Was expecting much...

Liked: The room was clean the bathroom was lovely, very modern and looks to have been recently updated.
Disliked: The room was very small I’m guessing in order to gain an extra room, which meant the double bed was squashed against a wall so that you had to climb over each other to get in on one side, which is fine if you’re young and fit. This also left no room for bedside tables, I wear glasses and can’t see without them so had to put a stool at the side of the bed which my husband then fell over going to the bathroom in the middle of the night. The bed was squeezed in side on, we’d booked and paid extra for a room with a Lakeland view expecting something special, and which would have been lovely if they’d given the bed enough room to swing it round to see it. I was told on arrival to be careful with washing/water as there was a drought in the area, something no one else had even mentioned. The heated towel rail was switched off and the towels were grim shreds of dark green towels which didn’t make sense in such a beautiful bathroom? We’d requested breakfast but was told that as they’d no water?!?! and the host had a cold they wouldn’t be cooking.Overall very disappointing with poor communication from the host.

Liked: Not a lot! Parking was good. Beds were comfortable.
Disliked: Very small room, even smaller bathroom/shower area. Slight noise from the road. TV was difficult to figure out at first.

Not worth the money

Disliked: We were told on arrival we could not have breakfast because of drought in Scotland ???? Never heard that one before. No chairs in bedroom sat on landing. Stair carpet was stained and dirty. Wall paper hanging off the wall in several places.

Liked: Very nice with large TV.
Disliked: I scorched myself during my shower using the immediate hot water shower. Room too tiny with bed next to bathroom. No breakfast at this Bed and Breakfast .

Nice room but had to...

Liked: Patio with a view of the lock.
Disliked: Had to drive to get to town and hikes.
