Wish it'd been better :(

Liked: Positives - a place to stay overnight that wasn't the back of our car. Bonus, the room was clean and sheets smelt like tide pods so were definitely washed. Lovely outlook onto the river right outside your door and the air conditioning unit worked great! The owners were friendly too.
Disliked: We had high hopes for this motel, but when we checked in and the owners told us that the room we had was very loud it frightened us. We'd had a full day of driving and were exhausted. You can hear absolutely everything if you're in a lower level room - residents/guests on their balconies (quiet time is after 11pm), residents/guests outside their rooms on the lower level, people above you showering, walking, using the toilet, everything. It's not just a few quiet footsteps here and there, it sounds like a heard of elephants are walking above you. If you are a light sleeper please request an upper level room or don't run the risk and stay elsewhere. Also, why does every second guest here smoke? Wish we'd woken up to the smell of nature and the countryside. Instead residents/guests are walking around outside their rooms at 6:30am smoking cigarettes.

Good

Liked: The staff (owners) were fantastic. Very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Rooms and grounds were very clean and well kept.
Disliked: There is not a lot of soundproofing between rooms, unfortunately. Our 11 year old son had a very difficult time sleeping due to the noises coming from above us. He asked us in the morning if we should congratulate her for getting pregnant (yikes).

Great location, good price-very happy!

Liked: The location was great. The view of the river was stunning, especially at sunset. The rooms were clean-you could smell they were recently cleaned when you walked in.
Disliked: Bathroom was a bit outdated and the room was on the smaller side but these weren’t necessarily things we didn’t like persay.
