Passable

Not want we expected but...

Liked: It was pretty comfortable and the staff were nice
Disliked: The website said it had a restaurant and it did not. It’s out of town so it was a long walk to go for dinner

Not up to the normal...

Disliked: I have been to many Campanile hotels and always found them to be very good. However this one was poor on many fronts. There was no restaurant facility, we couldn't get a drink when we arrived as the bar wasn't open. Each room only had one towel and we had to wait until 19.00 to get a second towel as there was a problem with the washing machine. We also had to ask for more toilet rolls. Breakfast was passable: the fresh pastries were heavy and not up to the standard expected in France; items were not replenished so we had to ask for more items; twice I had to turn on the egg cooker and on our last morning the water had boiled away so much that it didn't cover an egg. Also on the last morning they had run out of yogurts.

Nice short stay

Liked: Staff were friendly. Room clean, bed comfy. Location suited needs.
Disliked: Info on Booking.com needs updating as restaurant only open for breakfast. Very limited on drinks from bar. On 3rd morning breakfast items were running out. Toilet roll and tea/coffe/milk was not topped up, told by reception to find chamber maid. Room Aircon not working.

Liked: Easy to find. Good location for travelers
Disliked: Only one towel for a double room! Staff tried to claim it was a laundry issue but every guest for the three days we were there had to ask for another towel. Air conditioning wasn’t working properly, lots of noise but no cool air coming out. No evening food available despite menus posted up suggesting otherwise.

Liked: Stayed 3 nights so that I could visit 3 different locations from one base and that worked well
Disliked: Lack of restaurant for evening meals which is advertised as available on the Campenile website. No room cleaning during the 3 days I stayed and only one very thin and way past its best towel was provided. Room well overdue for a makeover.

Liked: Ease of booking in and not far off the motorway
Disliked: The room was incredibly hot, the 'AC' was not AC its just a built-in fan that doesn't actually blow any cold air. I had to be up at 0330 but at 2330 I was still wide awake as it was so hot. I ended up checking out around 2345 and sleeping in my works vans as it was so much cooler. I know the hotel can't control the weather but they can control what the AC does.
