Great staff. Fantastic location. Beautiful...
Liked: We had originally booked a standard double room with Moor view, but after checking the virtual tour pictures on the website the day before our arrival we were very disappointed with both the room and the incredibly small bathroom which resembled more of a cupboard. We therefore contacted the hotel and decide to pay the additional cost for one of the Deluxe Four Poster Rooms With Sea View. This was very comfortable and benefitted from a proper bath which my wife prefers. The staff were very polite and helpful at all times.Biggest plus for this hotel is undoubtedly the location with great views, proximity to the coastal paths and Tintagel village.
Disliked: As mentioned, the original room and bathroom facilities were quite inadequate. I would encourage future guests to research their rooms carefully. Interestingly, I don't seem to be able to access the virtual tour web pages any longer so not sure if they have been removed following my experience. The food was of excellent quality but expensive and the dinner menu remained the same for the entire week of our stay which limited our options a little and resulted in us going into Tintagel or eating at other locations at times. Our room was located on the top / 3rd floor which was serviced by the lift. Although bright and clean, we found the corridors on this floor lacking the pictures and decoration seen on lower floors. We joked that the feeling on this floor was a little like servants quarters although (as mentioned) the room was lovely.

More than we had hoped...
Liked: Camelot is a nod to an earlier time. According to the literature Royalty have stayed there and landed gentry would rock up with servants and stay for months at a time. Don't get me wrong, I'm no Royalist. The point is: if someone leaves a palace or stately home to go and stay somewhere else, it must be pretty special....... That's Camelot! The town of Tintagel is lovely as well, especially if you're a witch or a warlock. You will have to got there yourselves to discover what that means..... It's worth the effort.
Disliked: Nothing

Underwhelming.
Liked: It had great views and the staff were great.
Disliked: For the price, I expected the facilities to be better. Everything was outdated and old. Needs a revamp, even the couches at the front!
