The festival was great, but will definitely book another hotel next year.

Liked: The spa.
Disliked: Communication with the front desk was non existent; told there are no additional pillows , because the hotel was full. Our room was only serviced once over the weekend. Very poor service.

Liked: Lovely rooms. Good food. Friendly responsive staff .
Disliked: The pool could do with an upgrade. It’s quite a way out of Cambridge but that probably explains the very competitive price of rooms.

Very enjoyable.

Liked: The lady on reception when we arrived was great. She went out of her way to be helpful, to understand and answer my query about a request for connecting rooms that we had made before arrival and then double checked personally in the rooms to make sure everything was correct. It was a small thing but to us it was important and her warm and positive manner really made a difference.Breakfast was lovely and plentiful.Rooms were clean and a good size and overall the hotel had a lovely feel.
Disliked: The restaurant looked lovely but as we had the children with us, we were looking more at the bar menu for something to eat in the evening. We would have liked a few more options to the bar menu for children and also at a more reasonable rate for this relaxed option.I understand as a spa they are catering for adults having a relaxing day but the time restrictions on the pool for children were tight and there were no options for a morning swim for the children and we did book this hotel because we knew it had a pool and that the kids would want to swim, it maybe needs to be clearer when booking that there are restrictions to this.

A good place to stay

Liked: Comfortable and spacious room.Excellent evening meal, good choice and good value. Good selection of food in the breakfast buffet.
Disliked: A dog friendly hotel should have a poo bin, I searched the grounds but couldn't find one so the dog got a bonus walk while I searched for one on the streets! The room was quite warm and the window wouldn't open enough.
