Liked: Room was comfortable and food and service was good.
Disliked: Some perks you would expect in this price range were missing such as paid TV and newspaper.

A delightful and friendly place...

Liked: Cambria House is located in a quiet residential area, within easy walking distance of Nelson city centre. There is ample free roadside parking, along with a small car park.Cambria House has many original features. There is a wide and varied choice available for breakfast, which is served in the dining room, where guests share the large dining table.Carol and David are very friendly and helpful, suggesting what to see, activities available and restaurants for dinner.

Liked: Good sized room with comfortable bed. Modern bathroom with large shower. Friendly owners, very helpful and good locally sourced breakfast. Fresh milk supplied for tea and coffee. Port and chocolate in room an added treat.
Disliked: Bathroom amenities a bit lacking. Only one small bar of soap and small shampoo for 2 stay.

Great location and fabulous breakfast

Liked: The room was compact, not much space to put bags etc, but the bed was very comfortable. The hosts were lovely and very helpful. It was the best cooked breakfast we’ve had while we’ve been away as it was cooked fresh. The location was good too as very quiet and only 10 minute walk to the centre. There was a seating area outside in the garden which was lovely and a sitting room inside.

Disappointing. Not good value for...

Liked: Breakfast was fine.The location was good, walkable to town.
Disliked: The bedroom. The bed was small and on one side there is no room for a bedside table so items had to be put on the floor. The duvet cover was of poor quality and looked shabby. In the en suite which was very small there was also a lack of shelving, all toilet bags had to be on the floor.
