Pleased, but left expecting more.
Liked: When you walk in it?s very warm and updated in the reception area/bar. The over all feel was very modern and clean. We were one of two cars in the parking lot so we were expecting a quiet stay. The building is seemingly in the middle of no where; you need a car to get or see anything. Once we got to our room it was clean and inviting, we had a fridge, microwave, keurig.. everything you need for a couple days away from home! There is a bar which had surprisingly good salads, decently priced alcohol, and attentive staff. It?s not open all day though; but they do have a large selection of snacky type food in the reception area (frozen dinners, drinks, candy bars). The older gentleman gave us recommendations for breakfast since we over slept and missed the $6 dollar hotel breakfast, and he knew what he was talking about! It was great.
Disliked: We were there for only two days and saw the same older gentleman manning the lobby desk both times we ventured out of our room. There didn?t seem to be much staff operating this larger hotel. Sunday night we went for dinner and came back to a completely empty hotel lobby. There was a sign letting us know they had stepped away, but there was no one to be found. We waited a little bit and ended up just going to our room. For such an empty hotel we figured it would be quiet as well... boy we?re we wrong. Someone had zero control over their children on a Saturday night at midnight; they we?re running down the hallway CLAPPING. Who does that?? By the time I could get to the door they had rounded the corner and we?re out of sight. The next thing is more of an inconvenience, but they had us in a handicap accessible room; which was great! Except the shower storage area... there is a tiny corner shelf thing for the smallest bar of soap, and nothing else. You have to balance your mini bottles of shampoo and conditioner perfectly on said shelf or else they fall to the floor. And who wants their stuff on a hotel shower floor?? Not us. The only other complaint was the darn tv... if you?re a sloth it?s perfect for you.. but trying to change the channels isn?t for the weak. It takes a minimum of 5 whole seconds for the channel to load and the sound to come on before you can switch to the next channel. THEN the directory that it defaults to when switched on... the numbers do not match the actual channels. So you need to flip through and pray you have the patience to get up to channel 60 to find that Harry Potter marathon you were looking for. Other then that, I?m done airing out our first world problems.

Liked: Comfortable bed and nice room layout.
Disliked: No shower door made bathroom floor wet, and shower cold. Wasn't aware breakfast was not included until after we ate.
