Hyatt Washington Dc / Convention Center

Walking distance to venue was great but be aware - there are a lot of homeless people. The more I travel the more I see. It is very disheartening.

Liked: The staff was excellent! The gentleman at the desk was great. It really helped that he knew the entertainer that I was there to see.
Disliked: Could have been a little bit cleaner but proximity to everything was on par.

First time staying here and was very impressed. Friendly staff; easy check in; parking was great; room was clean, spacious and modern. Great location and easy walk to restaurants, bars, and 9:30 Club.

Disliked: None.

Very poor

Not worth the money I...

Liked: I cant tell you because I was out the whole time at a conference. The essentials were not met so I cant comment on anything that I liked because there wasnt any.
Disliked: There was no housekeeping the whole time I was there. Linens, towels and bed sheets were not changed. The AC was not working in fact it was blowing hot air making it a nightmare to sleep.

Second stay, service will bring...

Liked: Friendly service and beautiful location
Disliked: Had issues with the hot water in the shower taking forever to warm up. I think it was due to the renovations going on.

I couldn’t wait to leave.

Disliked: The hotel was under construction, the restaurant was horribly terrible. No room service, I found the staff not so friendly.

We like the central location!

Liked: Good things about breakfast: coffee, variety of milk & cream on ice, real plates, variety of meat, other food choices, variety of fruit. Best server: Guiermo(sp?) Very helpful & courteous & friendly! He is the best & represents Hyatt very well.
Disliked: It would have most hospitable for a decanter of water (w/cups & napkins) to be always available @ front desk. We only saw it once for a little while, was carried away & not returned. The lobby decor was very sterile, institutional & unwelcoming. Very few plants; More live plants & greenery in the lobby would make it much more inviting & friendly! Front desk receptionists need to be easier to understand & wear professional attire (dress shirt & tie w/ jacket for guys & blouse & jackets for women to create a cohesive, well thought out & respectful presentation.
