Cambria Hotel Nashville Downtown

We'll try J W Marriott next time. Cambria was not worth the price.

Liked: Stylish and location convenient.
Disliked: TV was broken; musty smell; staff completely unhelpful when I lost my toiletry bag. Valet was the most hospitality we experienced and for $45 a night parking, I'd hope it would be decent.

Liked: Location was good
Disliked: I paid for the room prior to my arrival through booking.com. Travelled from Ireland for 1 week here. When I arrived I was told that my booking was cancelled and not paid for. After contacting booking.com they confirmed my booking was paid for and they had a room for us. 2 days later on a trip to Memphis my card declined while trying to buy gifts. I couldn’t understand it. Once I got WiFi and checked my bank I discovered the hotel charged me again. My spending money was gone. Went back to the hotel to tell them what happened and point blank told me they did not do this even though I showed them my bank statement after 2 (not at all helpful)receptionists they eventually said it was booking.coms fault which it wasn’t because it was the cambria hotel that showed up on my bank. Eventually they agreed it was their mistake and that they would refund the money. (That they did but I was back in Ireland when it hit my account) The morning after I spoke with the 2 receptionists I spoke with a very helpful understanding receptionist called Marina (I think) who couldn’t apologize more and offered us food and drink in the hotel complimentary. She also told me one night would be refunded to booking.com for me (never happened) We did not go to Nashville to eat and drink in that hotel we went to go to broadway unfortunately I couldn’t afford to go to broadway as they cleaned my bank account out. Disliked: Room service never came. I assumed they would come?!!

Liked: Location, pool, and restaurants/bars with music on site. Staff was very kind and had free water available for us. That was awesome.
Disliked: The room made us sick. Husband had a horrible headache that linger. He got it as soon as we walked in and settled down. I felt sick immediately too with congestion, sore throat, and asthma. I do well in humid weather hence why I picked TN for a trip but it felt like the room was not clean although it looked clean. The air with the ac felt unclean....I couldn't breathe in there. Ruined the trip in a way. We had to ask for a humidifier although we wanted another room. I wonder if the room's ventilation and ac are clean. Felt it had mold..I mean it sucks because as soon as I would go in there I felt like I was suffocating and couldn't breathe. When I left I felt fine. Needless to say I left super sick with asthma in the summer.

Great Stay!

Liked: Loved the property location. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Rooms were clean and super comfy beds . Just far Way from the noise from downtown but an easy walk to all the music life!! The valet staff was super friendly and attentive .
Disliked: Price of parking but everything seems to have high parking prices . Lighting in bathroom was a little dull.

Liked: The hotel was beautiful and unique. Perfect location. You could walk to pretty much anywhere. Would stay here again.
Disliked: Wish breakfast was included.
