Areas for Improvement

Some guests noted that on-site parking is limited and comes with an additional fee—but there are public garages nearby if needed. A few visitors wished for a more extensive late-night menu, especially for those midnight post-show cravings.

Nice but expensive

Disliked: Pool was cold, couldn’t check in until 330, had to pay extra for parking

Disappointing

Liked: Location
Disliked: Staff were inattentive. We asked for coffee pods and they never arrived, we told the front desk that our shower gel was empty and they said they would tell the housekeeper but next day it was still empty.

mediocre

Liked: Did not eat breakfast. Liked how it was close to the Public Market
Disliked: The female bartender didn't even know how to pronounce wines or what they were. We left and went elsewhere. The room was okay. But zero amenities no Q-Tip's, razors, one little bar of soap, and no face towels. I will not be back ,especially for the price

Everyone of the staff were...

Liked: It was a very comfortable room. The desk greeters are always very nice and accommodating. It's very convenient to Henry Maier Festival Park to walk to from the Cambria.
Disliked: The parking area is very confusing and small. It is also in need of restoration. We asked to have the air-conditioning vent vacuumed in the automated text, which sent a text back that it would be done that afternoon but it didn't get done. So I was having a problem with my allergies.

Good

Liked: Clean rooms, complimentary water and coffee
Disliked: Parking needs to be more self explanatory. Also we got the breakfast package and it is stated that breakfast ends at 10. When my hus and and I went down at 9:40 just wanting to grab something quick a sassy worker was condescending about breakfast ending at 10. Needless to say we didn't get the breakfast we paid for

Do not stay here. There...

Liked: Location is convenient, close to everything in Downtown Milwaukee. Unfortunately, the location is about the only positive thing I could report about this hotel.
Disliked: I'm amazed that this hotel has a positive rating on Booking.com because it was wildly overpriced and the service was dreadful. The hotel itself looks nice at first glance, but the maintenance is lacking. There's clear signs of wear and tear everywhere, like it hasn't had regular maintenance done in years. Loading and unloading is cumbersome, as the only parking is in the back of the hotel, a good walk to the doors and elevators. The promised breakfast buffet wasn't offered (on a Friday morning) and the ordered meal was mediocre to bad. (Think warmed up frozen foods with a steep price tag and nonexistent service). In short, avoid this hotel. It's horrible.

Passable

Disliked: The hotel is overpriced for its average quality. It looks much better in the photos than in reality. There is nowhere on-site to eat or have a drink. A month after booking, I noticed the prices had dropped — disappointing to see after confirming our reservation.

My family and I were...

Liked: Location was great.
Disliked: Dear Manager, I recently booked a one-night stay at your property specifically because of the advertised swimming pool amenities. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we were disappointed to find that the pool was closed. This important detail was not mentioned anywhere on your website or during the booking process.Had I been made aware in advance, I would have explored other options. However, given that everything else was fully booked, we had no alternative.I wanted to bring this to your attention, as it impacted the quality of our stay. I kindly ask that you consider updating your online listings to reflect temporary amenity closures, so future guests can make fully informed decisions. I was given 25% discount but should’ve been 50%, for the inconvenience. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
