Why Concert-goers love it

Located in Chicago’s bustling Loop, this hotel is within walking distance of major concert and theater venues, making it easy to catch a show without worrying about late-night Ubers. The area stays lively but not overly noisy, and the hotel itself offers a calm retreat once you’re back. With a 4pm check-in and an 11am checkout, there’s time to both pre-game and sleep in. Plus, the hotel’s central location means late-night transit, rideshares, and food options are always close by.

Food and Drink Options

The on-site Intermission Restaurant and Bar serves up local flavors and craft drinks for breakfast, lunch, and dinner—ideal for a pre-show bite or a post-show wind-down. While there's no 24/7 room service, in-room dining is available during restaurant hours. With the hotel's central Loop location, you'll also find dozens of late-night eateries and bars within easy walking distance. Need a late breakfast after a long night? You’re covered.

Nightlife Options

While the hotel itself doesn’t host live music, its bar offers a relaxed vibe and local craft cocktails. Step outside and you're surrounded by bars, lounges, and clubs, many with live music or DJs spinning until late. Whether you're looking for an afterparty or a chill drink, you won’t have to go far.

What People Say

Guests consistently praise the stylish, spacious rooms, the unbeatable location for theater and music events, and the friendly, helpful staff. Many highlight how clean and quiet the rooms are, despite being in the heart of the city. It’s often described as a “hidden gem” for concert-goers who want both convenience and comfort.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests have noted that valet parking can be pricey and may take time during peak hours—so public transit or rideshare might be the better bet. A few travelers wished the restaurant stayed open later, especially post-concert.

Stephan, Elk Grove Village, visiting Nederlander Theatre Chicago Sat, 16 June 2018

Hotel is right next door to the Oriental and walking distance to others. It's clean and modern with comfortable beds for a reasonable price.

Liked: The rooms are modern, clean and offer comfortable beds.
Disliked: The parking valet is sub standard; slower than molasses on a cold day! During the busiest parts of the day they only had 1 valet which never showed any urgency to the amount of people waiting. Also, the restaurant closing soon after the theatre gets out makes getting a quick bite to eat impossible.

We are really pleased with...

Liked: The location is superb for walking to attractions, the L, Millenium Train Station. The hotel is very clean, quiet for our room (from neighbor rooms; the outdoors noises are just city sounds). The room layout was great; bed was very comfortable.
Disliked: The refrigerator ended up freezing some leftovers and a drink can expanded and seeped out the drink; we could not find any temperature control dial etc inside to turn it down. We didn't call or text the front desk to alert because it wasn't the biggest deal; just a small small drawback.
