The Spotlight on Cambria Hotel Boston Somerville

Modern comfort near Harvard Square and Boston's music scene

Cambria Hotel Boston Somerville is a stylish, contemporary hotel located just outside the heart of Boston in hip and walkable Somerville. With its sleek design, cozy rooms, and proximity to both Harvard and downtown venues, it blends relaxed vibes with urban energy. The hotel offers easy access to popular Cambridge spots like Harvard Square and Inman Square, and it's just a short ride to the big-name concert venues across Boston.

Why Concert-goers love it

Music fans appreciate the Cambria for its quiet, comfortable rooms that let you unwind after a loud show. It's located a walkable 16 minutes from Inman Square and within 2 miles of Harvard Square, offering access to live music venues, bars, and city transport. The 24-hour front desk makes late-night arrivals stress-free, and with free WiFi throughout, you can post your concert videos ASAP. While not in the downtown core, it’s close enough for a quick rideshare or T ride without being stuck in the post-show crowds.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a cool home base with easy access to nightlife
  • Solo travelers catching a bucket-list show in Boston
  • Couples planning a fun concert weekend
  • Fans who want a quieter neighborhood to crash after the encore
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who want more value outside the downtown core

Food and Drink Options

The Cambria features an on-site restaurant and bar, perfect for a bite before or after the show. While it doesn't offer 24/7 room service, there are plenty of walkable eateries in nearby Inman Square and Somerville. Breakfast is available on-site, so you won’t have to wander far the morning after a late night.

Nightlife Options

You're close to the lively bar scenes of Central and Harvard Squares, where you’ll find craft cocktail lounges, pubs, and live music. While the hotel itself is more chill than party-centric, it’s a great launchpad for a night out—or a low-key nightcap in the bar downstairs.

What People Say

Guests love the clean, spacious rooms, friendly staff, and modern design. Reviews often mention the great location—close to public transit and Harvard but in a quieter, more local-feeling neighborhood. The WiFi is fast, and the beds are super comfy after a night on your feet.

Areas for Improvement

If you’re hoping to stay right in downtown Boston, this hotel is a bit removed—but many guests find the trade-off for peace and space worth it. Parking is available, though it’s not free, which is typical for the area.

The Bottom Line

Cambria Hotel Boston Somerville offers concert-goers a stylish, quiet place to recharge that’s just close enough to Boston’s best music venues—without the downtown chaos.

Excellent modern hotel close to...

Liked: The hotel is very modern, the room was clean and spacious . We had an excellent dinner at the adjacent restaurant there. In the morning, they offer coffee downstairs, as well as coffee machine in the room. The walk to Harvard is 20 minutes. MIT and Tufts is a close drive. Overall, we enjoyed our stay there .
Disliked: To park a car overnight you pay $33 , to eat at the restaurant parking is $15.

Superb

Liked: Everything very clean and modern.
Disliked: The shower was surprisingly disappointing. It simply didn't have enough pressure to be at the same level as the other facilities in the room and the hotel.
