Cambria Hotel Austin Downtown

Disappointed, sorry but I won’t...

Liked: I liked that the hotel was pet friendly, the amenities on site, and the location.
Disliked: I wasn’t aware until last minute that the pet fee is now $75 per stay, not free anymore which was the main reason why I booked this hotel after reading the Q&A. There wasn’t really a pet potty area unless you walk around the block, which is dark and unsafe at night. Just FYI, My room booking included breakfast, but when I got there, they tried to say that they don’t normally do the whole breakfast with the room package. Although I showed them my reservation and where it stated breakfast was included, they did honor it. Breakfast was tasty though.Upon arriving to my room, I’ve noticed some hair balls on the floor and on the desk.

Liked: I loved the modern feel of the property, the rooftop pool was such a beautiful touch added to a beautiful hotel. My King suite was very nice and spacious and was very clean for the most part although I do feel like they could have swept and mopped the floor a bit better.
Disliked: I liked that it was in a perfect location in downtown Austin, but I did not like that , They didn’t have any public parking for the patrons that stay and pay for the rooms at the hotel, $55 a night for valet is pretty steep, but they have some affordable parking on the street

Good

Liked: Great location. Staff was friendly. Room was cold and clean.
Disliked: Mini fridge was not cold. Breakfast did not appear to be included as it was stated on the booking. Our phone did not work to call the front desk, our TV also did not work.

Great for a short trip

Liked: Good location, was able to work in the lobby for a while after check out.
Disliked: Pool a bit crowded

Beautiful, Clean, Great staff!

Liked: Everything was lovely and our check in agent was very kind and accommodating. I was traveling across country to attend law school and the Cambria was a wonderful place to stop to rest. Also, considering I was carrying all of my worldly belongings, it was nice to have valet to make sure my car was safe. Bonus: The hotel is on the backside of the bar crawl.
Disliked: Valet was expensive. Breakfast was kinda blah.

Liked: The free upgrade was amazing

Liked: Valet staff and desk staff were AWESOME...friendly, helpful, engaged
Disliked: the location was okay - construction and the bars on Rainey street were more of a nuisance, but that's not the fault of the hotel

Passable

Disliked: No bartender avaible for someone unexperience serving
