Liked: The staff were amazing. Checked in after surgery for an overnight stay. Couldn't have been more helpful in making sure I was comfortable. Great breakfast. I never got a chance to try the evening ambience, but in the morning, it looked interesting, and the grounds amazing. Definitely looking to return to experience the hotel under better circumstances. Oh, and we were given a free upgrade. Thank you so much
Disliked: The stairs, but that was just because of my situation. Just one flight and in keeping with the age of the property.

A lovely hotel with great...

Liked: The staff were wonderful and the food was excellent.
Disliked: The room was almost at the furthest extent of the heating & hot water. Radiator struggled to reach tepid and litres of water wasted waiting for taps/shower to reach acceptable temperature. None of this helped by a draughty single glazed window. The hotel must obviously be aware of this and a small fan heater was provided. Unfortunately, it was far too small and inefficient to make any real difference.
