Disappointed this time, the first...

Liked: Good locationSwimming pool It’s quiet
Disliked: The floor was not cleaned and the shower was really dirty. It’s my third time at Hotel Tropiq, the first two times the bedrooms were perfectly cleaned.

Not a very happy experience.

Liked: A long walk, but walking distance to the centre. Staff was courteous.
Disliked: There were ants in the kettle. Very basic. Blankets were in the wardrobe so we kind of had to make the bed ourselves. They were not freshly washed or had been kept there for long so had some kind of few small mites. It was a room for three. But we had three towels, one hand napkin. The first day we canned back and the room was not done. The cups were not replaced and since we had coffee in them there were more ants. We were told that they service only once a week. As this saves resources. I don’t understand how making the bed and replacing cups helps in saving electricity and water. So we were given cleaning liquid and dish cloth to wash the cups in the bathroom sink. Very basic room. Not as expected. Tried contacting booking.com so desperately to swap the hotel . We had booked for four nights. . They were so unresponsive on the customer chat. The bot kept replying that someone will connect. Called them three times but no resolution. Finally they sent an email on the day before I had to checkout. The next time I had to do a longer stay I would book only for one night and then reach there and decide.

Disliked: Too much people smoking and half of the place smells like smokes.

Uncomfortable and not worth the...

Liked: The location was great and 1 staff member was friendly.
Disliked: The pillows were awful, old beds and no blankets on the bed, the room smelt like bleach and we had to air it out as it gave us a headache. Not sure If there were mosquito’s or bed mites. Parking was okay on the street but inside was difficult . The pool was clean and inviting. Unfortunately the house next door was getting some work done and was noisy. People smoking everywhere, near the room (with children)The room was clean, well used/older and tiles slippery. Shower was good and plenty of items to use. Gardens were untidy and need a spruce up. Not worth $280 a night….
