Night away for anniversary

Liked: Right in the middle of Aviemore, traditional type hotel
Disliked: Nothing

A bit too expensive for...

Liked: Location was what I was looking for - lots of trails for walking/running. Window opened fully which was great for air as the room was stuffy. Blackout curtains. Shower was good. Luckily we had a room that was not over the bar (if light sleeper - confirm in advance).
Disliked: Bed and pillows weren't comfortable. Room was really stuffy and tiny. Parking was extremely limited due to an ongoing wedding. No drinking water provided in the room. Extremely small TV with limited channels. Noisy doors and thin walls. Dated decor. A bit pricey for what was offered.

Handy stopover for one night...

Liked: Lovely old building set in the centre of Aviemore. Friendly staff and good breakfast but it has to be the tiniest room I have ever stayed in. Maybe it was just ours and it was ok for one night. Anything longer would be impossible.

Disappointing re bathroom

Disliked: Bathroom facilities not adequate. Nowhere to put toiletries and sink too low

Great hotel, ideal location for...

Liked: Central location, easy walking distance to local shops. Large carpark which is free for hotel guests, we visited the bar which had a good range of drinks at a reasonable price. Room and breakfast was lovely, plenty of options for breakfast cooked to order. We ate in the restaurant, food was lovely but it does get busy with both residents and non-residents. Staff were helpful and friendly, room was clean and spacious.
Disliked: Nothing.
