Cairn Hotel

I would recommend; good value for money.

Liked: Staff lovely; breakfast very enjoyable; room average - all that we needed but decor needs refreshing.
Disliked: The hotel just needs a freshen up.

Liked: Location is great, plenty of parking and breakfast was excellent.
Disliked: Rooms are a little dated but very clean and tidy.

Liked: The location was fantastic. Was great to be able sit outside at night in the sunshine.Reece the Assistant Manager was incredibly helpful as well.Bathroom was very nice.
Disliked: Property is an old hotel so is a little dated and doesn’t had aircon. Would have been great to have a fan as it was incredibly hot.

Liked: Lovely hotel and walking distance to the city centre and restaurants Beautiful sitting areas inside and gardens.

Disliked: Very misleading pictures, room was tiny, the furthest away from reception and only one lift up and down.The room was stuffy and hot, attempted to open the windows and the handle fell off! Wired through walls exposed in the bathroom and near to tv.Booked 2 nights to able to enjoy a lie in without the kids, was woken before 8am by a lorry beneath our window sat running for almost an hour.Asked for a fan, it was absolutely filthy!f you only get once chance away from your kids, don’t spend it here.

Good location in Harrogate

Liked: The location was ideal for our visit but may not be for people who are challenged walking up inclines into town centre and back to the hotel. The car park was free and ample big enough, always spaces available during our stay in the middle of the summer holidays.Helpful staff and a good beer garden.Great location for our stay.Was clean and plenty of room.
Disliked: The beds in the room we had were too hard for us but with only a two night stay not worth requesting a move. Disappointed with the quantity of electrical sockets, none of which were next to the beds.Furniture and decor dated, but facilities were sufficient for our needs.

Very good

Liked: The Cairn is a beautiful building and well situated for Harrogate. The decor in places is looking a bit tired but overall I couldn't fault it.The breakfast is excellent and the staff are friendly and helpful.

A lovely old fashioned hotel

Liked: The location was excellent, breakfast was good the hotel had faded grandeur in a good way we had a lovely time and would use this hotel again.
Disliked: Nothing really
