Disliked: The hotel was overbooked — might be in their policy? We came for Memorial Day and spent 2 hours at the reception, as they were handling a dozen of people/families who couldn't get a room. As for the others, we were told they had no room for us, despite a booking several months ago. We were told a room could be available at 10 pm, i.e. 8 hour later. Also note, we had to fight to make sure they would cancel the room without charging us. I strongly recommend NOT to book at this hotel, worst hotel experience I ever had.

Liked: Only positives was location, hotel was on mid beach, it was the quiet part, beach was great spot. south beach or north beach was more livier, Had 2 pools, one main and other was for over 21’s, so great if you want busier or quiet pool with or without children. Staff were pleasant and friendlyOutlay and decor was nice enough
Disliked: Very disappointed on selection on breakfast, continental consists of tea/coffee/water, 3 mini croissants different fillings, bowl of fruit which was all types of melon & pineapple. If you wanted full cooked breakfast had to pay extra 20 dollars each. Even cooked breakfast one day and not a big selection on that, very surprised for a Marriott Hotel! Our bedroom was location on 9th floor, asked for oceanfront view which we got but no balcony, which we requested to have, asked at reception but nothing available, plus our room was located right next to the 2 lifts, so all evening/night and early hrs of morning the lift was in constant use, and noise of people chatting and talking loud kept waking us up, so sleep was always disturb by that.On arrival which was late afternoon, our room was not ready, due to late check out, had to wait 45 mins-an hr.Also you had to pay resort fees on arrival which was extra 45 dollars a day, plus if you wanted to use beach and get umbrella extra on that!So weren’t happy with the value or price of this hotel!!

Nice location but unprofessional front...

Liked: Great location with a beautiful outdoor and pool area. The team working at the pool and beach was always positive and attentive, and the hotel restaurant was great - both the food and the staff.
Disliked: The experience with the reception team was disappointing. Some of them, including the manager, lack customer service and communication skills. I was given incorrect information at check-in, and when I raised the issue, the manager was dismissive and unhelpful. Rather than resolving the problem, she focused on blaming her staff telling me they lied and asking me to identify who made the mistake, saying some were new and needed correcting. I came to relax, not to be involved in internal issues. If the team isn’t properly trained, I shouldn’t be dealing with the fallout and definitely shouldn't be hearing their internal problems- it was uncomfortable. Unfortunately, nothing was resolved.Additionally, several elevators were not working, the changing rooms were out of order, and the corridors near the rooms had a strong, unpleasant smell.People were openly smoking at the family poolOverall not the experience I expected from this hotel
