Matthew is an excellent host...

Liked: Ideally situated right on the seafront.We had room 6 seaview, which had when we stayed last June .Spacious and very clean, comfortable bed.
Disliked: Nothing

Liked: The property is a small B & B , nice and quiet with a personal touch and a fresh cooked breakfast
Disliked: Quite a distance from the town center

Liked: The property was lovely and clean. Matthew was so welcoming, and the breakfast was delicious.

A great bed and breakfast...

Liked: Nice quiet location, good choice for breakfast. Very accommodating staff, made us feel right at home straight away.Very clean bed and breakfast that was managed very professionally. If in Eastbourne again we would stay again.
Disliked: There was nothing we didn’t like.

Charming B&B and host who...

Liked: A charming B&B run by very hospitable hosts. We stayed in a balcony room which had a good amount of room and the location opposite the beach was lovely. Parking was available on street or in the 3 bays for guests. The breakfast was exceptional. We were finishing the South Downs Way and combining it with a mini break and By the Sea was perfect for us.
Disliked: It was a little tight in the shower (I’m not that big!) but still more than adequate.
