We spent an enjoyable 24...

Liked: Great location with easy access to town. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and we had a very good en-suite with easy to operate rain shower. Parking was also convenient being close to hotel entrance. Both the breakfast and evening meal were good.

Liked: The location to the town is excellent, 10 min stroll, the staff were really friendly and helpful. Would recommend this hotel. The bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was great from continental right through to full English, plenty of tea snd coffee. Evening meals also good with good variety and with vegetarian choices!!

Liked: Breakfast was good. Service a bit slow on one of the dsys.
Disliked: Beer! Menu could have more choice.

A lovely stay.

Liked: All the staff were exceptionally warm, friendly and helpful. Lovely environment, clean, peaceful. Good food, and good size portions. Conveniently situated to get around beautiful Buxton and the surrounding area.
Disliked: Our only criticism would be that there were no coat hangers in the room to hang up coats, especially important when the coats were wet with the rain.

I would definitely stay again.

Liked: Lovely building in a beautiful spot very comfortable bed.
Disliked: My room was on the 1st floor and was informed that there was a lift. Unfortunately I wasn’t informed about the narrow stairs up to my room. I found it very difficult to climb them with my luggage. If I had been informed I would have asked for a different room.

A Bumper Weekend

Liked: Although it was tight there was free parking on site , The room was generous and well equipped. The location was good, the breakfast fabulous and the staff were all friendly and helpful.
Disliked: it didn't meet my idea or experiences of a 4 star hotel, I thought it was overpriced, the decor was dreary, the carpets were frayed and the mirror in the bedroom was badly scratched and losing its silver, Breakfast on our first day was late as the Chef had reportedly not yet turned in.
