Exceptional

Burton villa was spotlessly clean...

Liked: The property was in a convenient location for the town and having parking was a bonus.
Disliked: The shower head kept slipping, not able to tighten it.

A serviceable standard B&B.

Liked: This is a reliable, conventional B&B well-positioned just north of the historic city centre. The beds are comfortable and the garrets even have a partial view of the Minster.
Disliked: The upper rooms feel close, warm and humid, and supplying a fan and a dehumidifier doesn't quite cope with the fug. The cooked breakfast is passable but I was surprised not to be asked which of the listed components I actually wanted - they must waste a great many baked beans every day.

Great location - rooms are...

Liked: Good value for money. The location is great, just a quick walk to the City Centre of York. Parking is provided which was more than helpful and the staff is friendly. Breakfast was good.
Disliked: Rooms are quite old, you can tell the furniture and bathroom appliances have seen better days.

Liked: Good access to the city, comfy bed, fridge and fan in bedroom and spotlessly clean. Good breakfast served by nice staff

Comfortable, convenient & value for...

Liked: Convenient location. Someone there to check us in. Help to carry cases to top floor. Breakfast was freshly cooked for you & served quickly. Lovely pots of tea. Very secure & felt safe area. Walk to the Minster, & hop-on-hop-off bus stop. Small fridge in the room.
Disliked: Stairs, Should have requested lower floor. Small shower area.

A very enjoyable stay in...

Liked: Car parking was as the staff explained in advance. We rang to confirm this and that we required breakfast for two on all mornings. Property was easy to find and was only a short walk into the centre of York. It was opposite a nice park too.Staff offered to carry our case as our room was on the second floor.
Disliked: Lack of communication. Upon arrival our booking did not appear to be on the correct page in the diary. Further into our stay we received emails (from booking.com) saying our credit card was invalid and our stay was going to be cancelled. We were at the property and nothing had been mentioned about this so we ignored the emails, in case they were a scam.The reception on the TV was breaking up constantly but as we didn't report this we cannot complain now.
