Good

Liked: Spacious family room opposite a park and walking distance to city centre. Parking on site. Good shower. Good breakfast.
Disliked: Double bed in family room not long enough for those over 6ft tall.Parking area is a tight squeeze if you have a big car. Noise from outside but that can’t be helped.

Great stay

Liked: Very nice double room on room 6 absolutely smelt amazing n very clean . The gentleman was really pleasant and helpful allowed us to leave luggage while we went to town and then came bk to collect when leaving for the train so didn't have to take it all round town . Very recommend stay .
Disliked: Was bit of a walk to town but lively on a sunny day . Plus there's an amazing pub called the punch bowl couple doors down very friendly and great atmosphere x

Pleasant

Liked: Very clean and tidy guest house. Ideal to put your head down after a long day out. Not too far from york centre. The breakfast was ok and the host very friendly
Disliked: Though the bathroom very small and could do with investing in cotton bedding

Good

Liked: Great location, good to have twin room option, as travelling with my son. Room was a good size for the both of us, and having a mini fridge in the room was a bonus (but the fridge was a little noisy at night!). Well served by buses from the station and the city centre, if you want to save your legs.
Disliked: Bathroom is very small, hardly room to move so not really anywhere to dress privately if you wanted to (tweenage son in tow!). Towels quite worn and very small, again for a twin room, didn't allow for much modesty. I was quite surprised to be asked to pay cash on arrival and have to insist on paying by card, not really what I expected when booking online. We didn't have breakfast at the B&B, the location is excellent for walking into town first thing. Bedding was a little out of date, the sheets didn't fit the mattresses properly and the duvet covers didn't close at the end.

Just what we needed

Liked: All went well. Just what we needed for our short visit to York
Disliked: A bit more communication on first morning. A little short on explanation re breakfast for example.
