Liked: Great location. Great hosts. Great breakfast.
Disliked: If checking in after 8pm there is a charge of £15 an hour. Think this is rather harsh especially if people have to travel long distances. Perhaps after 10pm a charge could be levid.

Liked: The location was really good for us and we had a lovely time since we arrived. They were always very polite. The breakfast was amazing, the room was lovely and clean

Liked: Great location to leave car parked and take a short walk into York for sightseeing and restaurants.
Disliked: Pillows weren’t to my preference.

Quiet English accommodation

Liked: A wonderful, family-run accommodation in an old English style. The accommodation is very quiet, in a peaceful location, yet not far from the center. The breakfast was delicious and fresh, with a selection of menu items. The staff was very helpful.

Pleasant place - but check...

Liked: Breakfast on our third day was good. The room was clean and the shower was powerful. We received a warm welcome from a friendly and informative gentleman, who gave us useful advice about visiting York.
Disliked: When I booked a place described as a "B&B", I assumed that breakfast would be included. When I got a confirmation saying "no meals basis", I enquired about the additional price of breakfast, but was told that no breakfast would be available for the first two nights due to some building works in the kitchen. I was unable to cancel my booking, as the money paid was not refundable. It should have been made clearer that the original booking was on a room only basis. When adding in the additional costs of buying breakfast every day, I think I could have got better value for money by booking elsewhere.
