The sands hotel a perfect...

Liked: The food was amazing. The outdoor seating area is perfect.

Liked: Great location on the Fife coast Breakfast was available until late morning or midday, can’t remember
Disliked: Bed was quite small and not so comfyExhaust fan in bathroom didn’t work

A first for us, we...

Liked: We didn't stay, walked out on arrival.
Disliked: Everything, we refused to stay. Chaotic, loud music outdoors, dirty and sticky carpets. Electrics in the room unsafe held together with blutak. Unsupervised children running around the car park, screaming and crying, The advertised sea view beggar's belief, across elevated railway tracks, over flat roofs and between buildings. We left after 5 minutes, the duty manager seemed unsurprised when we handed back the keys and left. A party pub with rooms and not a hotel.

Most enjoyable couple of days.

Liked: I liked the proximity to the beach, the prom and the links - pleasant walk into the town. I also liked that there was an outdoor area for coffee, drinks and/or meals.
Disliked: Can’t think of anything

Liked: Excellent breakfast included in the price. Friendly welcome. Very close to the beach. Room was excellent.

Not what we were expecting

Liked: The Staff were fantastic .The room although basic was clean and tidy. The breakfast menu was very good with wide selection to choose from
Disliked: The Room we had could have done with a complete update , the bathroom particularly. The only other thing against was the railway line approx 50 yards away with trains running approximately every 30 minutes during the evening. It would also have been better if we had known prior to our stay that it was not just an hotel but a regular Pub with letting rooms.
