this is a disgusting hotel

Liked: the location
Disliked: it’s very dated, the room carpet was worn and dirty, shower was broken and no hot water to have a bath. The are holes in the walls that need repairing and their were stain on the scatter cushions and the dead flies in the cupboard in the toilet. The room I was in at some point been split with the room next door as I was wakened with the floor bouncing and to my horror the person having the toilet and coughing up their guts. Although I was offered a drink for a late meal turning up I was charged for the disgusting plate of food that did turn up when the waitress asked if it was ok I explained it was burnt and so dry I felt sorry for it thus I could eaten it, only to was her make fun of me because complained to another waitress. I would never recommend staying at this hotel to anyone.

Lovely position by the sea...

Liked: Excellent breakfast and very helpful staff. Comfortable room. Good venue for our reunion dinner.
Disliked: Poor bathroom with faulty shower, needs serious attention.

Liked: The breakfast was delicious I had the veggie breakfast and it was cooked beautifully..The location is nice close to the beach and not far from the train station. Staff pleasant. The room was clean but dated.
Disliked: Unfortunately the walls are very thin. I could hear the next door couple using the bathroom. They also unfortunately ruined the stay for us. They argued loudly most of the night even with headphones listening to music I could still hear them . We didn't feel we could challenge them as they were clearly very drunk. They had the TV on very loud as well. As there is no staff on site I couldn't report it to them. Made us feel very unhappy overall with the stay. Also the stair carpets are very worn and the bedroom carpet is the same. I feel that unfortunately it wasn't worth the 120 pound a night we paid.

Nearer a 7 than a...

Liked: The breakfast was fine. The room was comfy but on the small side. Staff were friendly enough. Nice enough bathroom, view wasn't too bad.
Disliked: The room was a little tired and grubby. I think it was a wee bit pricey for what we got.

Liked: Lovely location, nice meal and helpful staff
Disliked: Dated freezing cold room. We did 4 hotels in 4 nights and this was by far the most expensive (£120 compared to £59, £65 and £85) We ended up in bed with our clothes on it was so cold. Shower out of the 70’s, tiles chipped, paintwork tired. The owner really needs to invest some money to bring these rooms up to date in order to charge these prices. Sorry but you need to be competitive in this day and age.
