Burnside B&B is less than a mile from the center of Keswick and a 15-minute walk to Castlerigg Stone Circle. Derwentwater is located 1.7 miles from the property. The rooms are individually decorated with William Morris prints Tiffany lamps and non-allergy bedding. Each room is fitted with a private bathroom equipped with a shower and free organic toiletries free WiFi and a 32-inch flat-screen TV. A hospitality tray is provided in each room and some rooms have views of the mountains or garden. There is a wide choice of breakfast options including home-made waffles and vegetarian sausages traditional full English or smoked salmon and eggs. Great stay and host

Liked: The owner, Sharon was a lovely bubbly host who was knowelagble about the area, and nothing was too much for her, and loved chatting to her guests The room was beautiful, clean and well decorated,(as was the dining room) and the bed was so comfortable giving a great night's sleepA lovely breakfast especially the mushrooms, which were cooked to perfection
Disliked: The only negative, was a small shower as in not a lot of room to get in and out of.

Disliked: No parking on site,there is parking available across busy road on first come first serve basis. Sometimes a distance to walk with suitcase.

A pleasant stay in the...

Liked: Location was good; a short walk into Keswick and nice views of the hills. Accommodation was clean and tidy. The drying rack was a thoughtful addition for wet hiking clothes. Breakfast was excellent!
Disliked: While clean and functional, the bathroom could be described as compact. OK for us, but I can imagine larger people having some issues.

A wonderful stay

Liked: The property was immaculate and the breakfast was delicious. Sharon was really helpful in recommending local places to eat and happy to help with directions. We had a wonderful stay and would love to stay again.
