Burnside B&B is less than a mile from the center of Keswick and a 15-minute walk to Castlerigg Stone Circle. Derwentwater is located 1.7 miles from the property. The rooms are individually decorated with William Morris prints Tiffany lamps and non-allergy bedding. Each room is fitted with a private bathroom equipped with a shower and free organic toiletries free WiFi and a 32-inch flat-screen TV. A hospitality tray is provided in each room and some rooms have views of the mountains or garden. There is a wide choice of breakfast options including home-made waffles and vegetarian sausages traditional full English or smoked salmon and eggs. Disliked: No parking on site,there is parking available across busy road on first come first serve basis. Sometimes a distance to walk with suitcase.

A pleasant stay in the...

Liked: Location was good; a short walk into Keswick and nice views of the hills. Accommodation was clean and tidy. The drying rack was a thoughtful addition for wet hiking clothes. Breakfast was excellent!
Disliked: While clean and functional, the bathroom could be described as compact. OK for us, but I can imagine larger people having some issues.

A wonderful stay

Liked: The property was immaculate and the breakfast was delicious. Sharon was really helpful in recommending local places to eat and happy to help with directions. We had a wonderful stay and would love to stay again.

It was ok, good location...

Liked: The host, Sharon, and her lovely breakfasts. Very welcoming!
Disliked: Unfortunately, we drew the short straw with our room which was very small for 2 people.for a 4 night stay. Bathroom also very small.

Lovely B&B and host, and...

Liked: Lovely host, the food was amazing, the room was clean, the only downside was room smaller than we expected the bed took up most of the room and we kept walking into end of be and no wardrobe, they did provide hangers, also I ticked for parking, but didn't realize it was not onsight parking but Sharon was lovely and we felt very welcome and looked after.
Disliked: Room smaller than we expected, and parking was up a hill on the roadside
