Burnham Beeches Hotel

Very good

Liked: Lovely location, good parking, great breakfast & pleasant restaurant staff
Disliked: Reception staff (1 person) not particularly attentive

Could have been so much...

Liked: The room was very clean and well presented.
Disliked: On arrival, we were told our room still wasn't ready at 4 pm, even after notifying the hotel that we were arriving then.The wedding party ruining the tranquillity of what should have been a pleasant and relaxing stay and then having to deal with one of the entertainment staff refusing to move from the disabled bay because he was loading his car and needed the space more than my disabled wife. (Wouldn't have been so much of a problem if they'd been available parking nearby). Also hadn't been made aware that the jacuzzi had been out of action for the past two weeks and that there is also an additional charge of £5 per person on top of your stay to use the Spa facility. Pool is the size of a plunge pool and there are only four loungers.It's a shame as the venue itself is stunning, but don't book the cheaper rooms as you will have a roof as your view for your stay.

Superb

Liked: The hotel is in beautiful surroundings, the staff were excellent, and we each had a treatment that was excellent!
Disliked: There was a wedding in the hotel that night that we weren't warned about in advance of arriving. We were advised upon checking by Ali, who was wonderful throughout our stay, in that if the music got too loud that we could change room. This ended up happening at about 10pm that night, and we got upgraded to an absolutely silent room. While the situation wasn't ideal, the staff handled it superbly.

Excellent hotel and will return

Liked: The staff were really professional and friendly and notably Ian on the reception desk who was very knowledgeable about the history of the hotel and the local area.
Disliked: Pool was closed when we visited. No aircon in room.
