Beautiful and tranquil location and...

Liked: The hotel is located on beautiful grounds, surrounded by deer and greenery. The building is gorgeous and the decor and furniture is carefully curated and in keeping with the style and era. The room was quiet, spacious and felt cozy. The bathroom had a selection of toiletries and we were provided with plenty of fresh towels. Good water pressure and hot water on demand. Breakfast was good and although there was a limited selection of items, they were all freshly made and tasty. The staff was welcoming, polite and catered to all our needs. The receptionist in particular was very helpful and assisted me with a personal problem I was facing. The hotel was clean and tidy and the grounds were beautifully kept.
Disliked: Some of the furniture in the restaurant area was a bit tired. Some minor maintenance issues were present in some areas (damp/peeling walls).

Liked: Breakfast was extremely good ! Lovely to have the deer so much in evidence right outside the hotel too.
Disliked: Some areas of the hotel were beautifully decorated and smart, other areas a little less so.
