Amazing stay. Couldn’t have been...

Liked: Decor, attitude of staff is just right
Disliked: Booked into the ballroom for dinner but the music wasn’t starting until an hour later.

An exciting place to stay...

Liked: In a lovely position. Lots of treats and nice touches.
Disliked: We were booked into the hotel but were then relocated to the Artist’s Studio as there was a problem with the room. Essentially it was nice but we had really wanted to stay in the hotel. We were walking so did not have smart enough clothing to dine in the hotel. We ate at the Pilchard which was very chilly. The food was good though and breakfast at the hotel was lovely. When we left our luggage was taken to the mainland for pick up. By mistake our rucksacks were taken too. We went to collect them as they were needed for our hike today- they had been left on the wet floor of an open garage. Not great really. Also - no fresh milk in the rooms.

A fantastic, relaxing , stress...

Liked: The staff were exceptional- I'm sorry I don't know all names- the ones I do know are Nick, Simon, Charlotte,Tony, all the waiters and waitresses, barstaff (including Pilchard Inn)Cleaning staff and reception staff especially the lady who dealt with our bow tie emergency so quickly and helpfully, lovely French gentleman who seated us for dinner in the grand ballroom and served us on other occasions too. Every single staff member deserves praise, appreciation and recognition- nothing was too much trouble.
Disliked: The price 🤣

Liked: The property has real character and although a little tired it’s all part of the charm. My wife is a fan of Art Deco and this was on her bucket list and she was not disappointed
Disliked: Don’t think there was anything to moan about

A lovely birthday treat for...

Liked: A unique setting and themed Art Deco decore. Enjoyed dressing for dinner and listening/dancing to jazz band.
Disliked: A bit a work need to tidy up external decoration.
