Bunk Hotel Utrecht

Perfect for a few nights...

Liked: The crew is great, the check-in and out are easy, the pods are cool and you can be isolated with a curtain . The bathrooms are clean
Disliked: Maybe there should be more sinks and place near the sinks

Great place but not suitable...

Liked: The architecture, building and style are all really nice. There is a buzz, with a lot of people meeting i the bar/restaurant midweek. Probably excellent for younger travellers/backpackers or people seeking to meet and socialise
Disliked: The room was not really suitable for families with young children. The top bunk was really very high up and hard to climb into, even for an adult. It just needed a hand rail. My 5 year old, who sleeps top bunk at home, did not feel safe in it. The floor was really very cold midwinter (again, fine for adults but kids make a fuss). There was almost no floor or storage space. The sink is outside the bathroom and right next to the bed so inconvenient with brushing teeth/handwashing etc. Worst was the under bed lights are hooked up to a sensor which kept randomly activating and switching lights on whilst the kids were trying to get to sleep. Staff had no idea why and offered no help. After about an hour of kids failing to get to sleep worked out that the heating was setting it off because it was on swing mode.

Liked: Even if they are dorms you can have privacy. But please clean more the hairs from others . Emphasis on cleaning general.

Liked: loved the location, super close to the train station which made travelling around both utrecht and the rest of the country super easy!
Disliked: slight mix up in our room and we had double shampoo and no conditioner haha! not the end of the world
