Liked: Bed was comfortable
Disliked: They neglect to mention in their promotional material that they're literally steps away from a train station and that trains run all night, each one blowing a horn as they approach the station. Oh, they also forgot to mention they have live music on Friday nights and you should ask for a room away from the sound of that if you want an early night. Sure, it's a pub, you'd expect live music at the weekend but I've stayed at other similar places that seem to manage this with no disturbance. We had a premium queen room - the best room in the house I believe. It was about the size of a roomy coffin and equally depressing. The photographs on their page look nothing like the room we had. They must employ the world's most talented photographer. Nice dining room with a bar waiting area by the fire. Ten minutes before service no menus available the actual menu. anywhere and no staff at reception - it had closed. Nobody could tell us what was on the menu that night and so we made other plans. Yes, there's an online menu but it says it is indictive, not the actual menu. All up, very disappointing. Wouldn't go back or recommend.

Nice hotel in a great...

Liked: The location is perfect , a very short walk to the shops etc. Good bistro on site and friendly staff.
Disliked: Car parking limited and whilst there’s street parking , if you arrive around dinner time on a Friday you’ll battle to find anywhere close.My biggest complaint, whilst not the fault of the hotel , really marred our stay. We were woken around 1am by a noisy group who kept it up in both their room, next door to us and in the hallway until at least 3am. If there had been 24 hour reception someone could have been notified and come and shut them up.
