Liked: Very quiet location. Spacious.
Disliked: We weren’t aware that there wasn’t a tv. We ‘survived’ ok. The weather was atrocious which made it difficult to get out and explore the property surrounds. The bath towels were more like ‘loofas’…very dry and scratchy.

Liked: Lovely location with beautiful views over town to the coast. A real attempt to make something special. Comfortable.room with attentive and accommodating staff.

The Buffalo Lodge provided a...

Liked: Our group of 4 adults spent two wonderful nights at the Buffalo Lodge. Every part of the lodge is tastefully decorated in a rustic, bright, Scandinavian style. There is a large common dining area with a great big deck towards a terrific view , especially during sunset. We had access to the big kitchen and deck for simple suppers that we made ourselves. Breakfasts were included and were delicious and healthy, served by lovely staff. The Driving Creek Railway is very close by and was much more interesting than I had expected- a unique story of a single man’s passion and determination. We also enjoyed some great hikes in the area.

Beautiful lodge in the trees

Liked: The most perfect stay up in the beautiful hills of Coromandel. We absolutely loved the lodge, the kitchen facilities and shared spaces were perfect and our room had the most incredible view. The hosts couldn't have done more for us to enjoy our stay, went above and beyond. The breakfast was the icing on top of an already impressive cake, Abby's homemade quiches were to die for amongst a stunning spread. Thank you thank you thank you. Would recommend the lodge to everyone and anyone!
