An Absolute Treat

Liked: The 3 course breakfast is spectacular. Truly. Start with something baked (an apple muffin, a bacon/cheese thingy); then a salad of fruit exquisitely plated, or a unique porridge; then an amazing blend of fruits & veggies as the juice, followed by a breakfast plate (choose sweet or savory) that may be eggs with bacon on home made bread with tomatoes, avocado, and bacon, or pumpkin waffles. The place itself was re-created by its owners and their photos and stories and love for it emanate throughout.
Disliked: The place is a redux of a very old mansion that was made into a rooming house and faced decades of abuse and neglect. Then it met Holly & Daniel, and it has been utterly redone from the ground up , decorated in keeping with its original time, and they added all the modern amenities we love. The sole negative is that the beds were a bit too soft for us, but, add a downstairs lounge with a huge TV, a bar, billiards, dart board, and games...plus endearing and delightful proprietors and chef, and we totally loved it all.

Liked: The staff was Amazing!

While we didn't stay long...

Liked: The Breakfast was amazing. I usually hate eggs but the quiche they made was expellant. And the other courses felt fresh and healthy. The staff were all profession al friendly. The aesthetic of the home was amazing. And the room was lovely if a little small.
Disliked: The room was a tad smaller and the bed inside was a little more stylized then I like. But luckily it was still more comfortable then the average bed in a hotel.

Liked: Everything! They have restored a 200 year old house beautifully and it is a one of a kind place. Holly and Daniel are exceptional hosts who went above and beyond with everything and have an encyclopaedic knowledge of the local area. The breakfasts are amazing, freshly cooked every day and made from scratch with love and passion. It seems to be a <30 minute Uber to everything we wanted to do which was ideal. We will 100% be staying here again in the future.
Disliked: Honestly the worst thing we could think of was that the front door was a little stiff - not unexpected as it’s an original door 200 years old, though this was a complete non issue and we’re only putting it here because we had to put something!
