Exceptional

Very good

A comfortable and delightful place...

Liked: Comfortable and large room. Good shelf space in the bathroom (unlike so many other hotels). Attractive location and beautiful grounds.
Disliked: Chaotic restaurant. Day 1 table not ready for breakfast at allotted time. Day 2 Croissants had run out before the end of breakfast. Day 3 Staff did not know the difference between a whole or a filleted kipper.At dinner the first three bottles of wine ordered were unavailable. The set meal of four courses had coffee as the fourth course! First course no bigger than an amuse bouche. Some chaos over the puddings. Poor value.

Superb

Liked: Beautiful grounds to walk around, lovely big rooms. Didn't have time to use spa facilities but they looked good.
Disliked: I wish we'd had longer so we could have used all the facilities!

Relaxing stay at the Budock...

Liked: Relaxing stay in a comfortable room overlooking the golf course. The BV burger was delicious!
Disliked: The 'dog friendly' policy!

Hands down my favourite hotel...

Liked: Probably one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in in the UK. Delightful staff who cannot help you enough the breakfasts were absolutely amazing. The rooms were clean. The bed was absolutely gorgeous. We requested a small fridge for medication which was produced instantly and later we asked for a fan on a very hot day and within five minutes a Porter brought us a fan which was lovely. The hotel and spa area are spotless and the swimming pool, sauna and Jacuzzi well maintained. It was just an absolutely wonderful break and four days was not enough. We are already planning a return visit as soon as we can this is an absolute gem of a hotel and absolutely could not fault anything about it. There was plenty of parking incredibly quiet and prices mid range However the quality was exceptional so it felt like very good value.
Disliked: Due to the heat, the windows had to be open to let some airflow occasionally we would smell the smoke from the heating system that powered the swimming pool which smelt a little bit like burnt newspapers. This was not intrusive, however other than that it was absolutely perfect.
