Liked: Budget Host Inn will consistently be my choice when visiting Allegan. The hosts are friendly & helpful, the room is always immaculate, quiet & spacious. Bed is comfortable & breakfast is adequate, with many choices. The hotel is centrally located, with easy walking & driving access to many destinations.
Disliked: Can't think of a single thing, offhand..? Maybe better cable reception, if I were to get picky.

Basic place to sleep

Liked: The hotel was affordable.
Disliked: The area is not great. *Which is not the hotels fault. The bedding was very old and worn and mismatched. The bathroom sink/cabinet was falling apart. One of the lamps had no light bulbs at all, and the pool was completely closed, which I didn't find out about until after I booked and paid. Just little things that could be fixed up.I probably would not stay here again. The strange bedding was very uncomfortable.

The Budget Inn was nice...

Liked: I do say the coffee tasted great. The eating area was very nice. There was no one around to talk to or ask questions. You had to walk to the front of office if you needed something.
Disliked: Breakfast was very sparing. Not much to choose from. And nothing hot, except making oatmeal.

Clean but

Liked: It was clean.
Disliked: Vanity in bathroom was busted. Toilet didn't flush properly. Had to hold the handle down and flush many times just to get toilet paper to go down. Pool was closed. One top sheet and very thin blanket and some type of half cover.
