Brunswick Square Hotel

Good value for money.

Liked: The patio was cute, and the size of the room was good.
Disliked: The lamp didn’t work, the electrics in general towards the back of the room were sketchy. The private bathroom situation having to go out the room and in was a faff.

Dirty.

Liked: Bed looked nice
Disliked: Dirty, extra money to pay that wasn’t on the advert. When we booked it claimed free parking, but clearly updated profile closer to the summer, and didn’t bother to update us, or offer to pay?

Scam - do not go

Liked: Nothing. Dirty hotel with rude staff and hidden fees. Its a scam, it says 4 stars - not even close.
Disliked: Rude staff over text, unsecure handling of private data, dirty room and hotel, no amenities - for a 4 star this is a must. They requested me to send them ID to a whatsapp number, when i refused they offered a personal email adress, refused to answer data security questions, charged extra fees for checking in, noone in person is present at the hotel. The worst hotel i have ever been to, never have been treated so badly by hotel staff - for asking data privacy questions which i my right. I would have not gone to the hotel - but there was no rooms available in Brighton that night so I felt coerced into sending my data on unsecured channels (passports!) to not stay outside overnight (was threatened if i dont send it soon they will cancel the reservation). I have sent a complaint and received no reply.

Horror hotel - go if...

Liked: The decorations is okay but out dated
Disliked: Everything - whySurprise extra charge and request for formal ID. No staff present, all controlled by AI at the to door before your allowed in (I was kept waiting outside two hours before I and my physically disabled sons could get in.Got there in the evening and there was noisy guests right through to 4:34am and loud fridgeCup in the room was stained and the bath and sink had stains and hair and the shower curtain had mould on it falling into the shower.

Liked: The staff was friendly.
Disliked: I didn’t really like anything about this hotel. It was difficult to get in with the strange key system. There were no staff around except when I checked in. There was no soap by the sink, so I had to climb into the shower to get some body wash. And the bathroom was so tiny. There was no lift, so I had to climb five floors. I didn't feel safe because there were no staff around. One guy walked in that looked a bit suspicious. Didn't seem that he was a guest.
