Good place as a stopover

Liked: Good location for both train stations and city centreWe stayed both on our way to Bordeaux and on returnOur first night was spent at the front of the hotel and was very noisy. Our request for a quieter room for our return was met and our return visit was much quieter The second room was lovely - very hot due to heatwave but staff provided fan Excellent staff

Would stay again

Liked: 1. The location was excellent. Great train access. Very close to both Lille Europe and Lille Flanders. We rented a car, so we can't comment on other public transit access but lots of restaurants, pharmacies, stores within walking distance. And of course, Les Tanneurs which means tons of
Disliked: 1. Even in early June, it was really hot this year, and the room got uncomfortably warm at night. Had to buy a (lovely!) USB desk fan from HEMA (near by!) to be able to sleep. 2. The room was a little tight for two medium suitcases. I'd give up one of the two side chairs (not useful) to have an extra luggage rack, for sure. Hotels need to understand that a 2-person accommodation needs to provide arrangements for more than one suitcase.3. Why are hotels so resistant to providing ample wall hooks in the bathrooms? It's a small, inexpensive thing that can add so much more convenience! A traveler's pipe dream, I guess :D

Disappointing condition of room but...

Liked: Staff and breakfast
Disliked: Very shabby furniture and carpets. If they tiled it right through and repainted furniture this would be good long term and would lift the appearance and experience. I couldn’t get Netflix.

Nice hotel in Lille

Liked: The hotel is right at the centre of Lille and a short walk from Lille Europe and Lille Flanders train stations. The breakfast was very nice as well.
Disliked: The was no AC in our room. At times it was a bit hot during the summer. Opening a window is not an option because of a noise coming from a nearby square where people are partying during the night.

A perfect place for a...

Liked: Perfect location, very stylish with a gorgeous old lift. Very clean and very friendly.

Excellent location could not fault...

Liked: Perfect location with lovely views of the church. The friendly staff made our stay very welcoming.

Could be improved

Liked: The room is clean and the breakfast is very well thought.
Disliked: The window in the bathroom from the shower was directly visible to the neighbors without a real curtain and the street was very loud without the possibility to close the windows as it was too hot and no air conditioning or even a fan.
