The worst hotel in our...

Liked: Quiet locationComfy bed
Disliked: BATHROOM : Tiny shower over very narrow bath. When lights were flickering, the water was scalding hot. Every shower flooded the bathroom floor around the toilet. Fan stayed on long after leaving the room. Long dark hair on bathroom floor, not ours (we are bald and short grey hair). No room on the tiny vanity area bench.ROOM SERVICE : We stayed 6 nights and the room was serviced ONCE. Had to ask for clean towels.PARKING : 10 rooms for guests.....4 small, difficult to access, parking bays available. PAID public parking if you miss out. TV : Pre digital TV. Very small screen for room size. 5 buttons in specific order, to turn it on.FRIDGE : Poorly fitted in cupboard, difficult to open. Useless slide out basket over fridge, in cupboard, containing a bowl?? No door in freezer section. Foodstuff frozen the next morning. No setting feature. Given milk in a jug upon arrival, curdled and frozen next morning. No milk for rest of stay.WARDROBE : full of hotel stuff, absolutely no hanging space. The worst hotel in our 4 week holiday in New Zealand .

Beautiful stay (but struggled with...

Liked: Location (though quite hilly), breakfast (including delicious croissants), the branded touches, the style of room and building. Loved staying here, super cute and cosy and felt like home
Disliked: Car parking though I got a spot was super tight, especially with a 7-seater.Toilet wouldnt flush properly.... not great when sharing with colleagues.Tap was dripping (but that was just more from a waste point of view)I cannot express enough how shocking the beds were. It was such a disappointment and I did not sleep for 3 nights. They are so flimsy. If you sit on one side of the bed, or worse, roll over to it the middle of the night (like I do all the time with my chronic back pain) it feels like it's about the flip over. I was not impressed at all and really suffered in them. If the beds were not as poor as they were, this place would have got a 10 from despite the other minor things.
