Disappointed

Liked: Friendly staff
Disliked: Unfortunately paying £150.00 for a room to have a function disco and noise rattling through the house ridiculously until 1:30am didn’t really float my boat. The music then stops and you get slamming and banging from the kitchen.Shame as the staff were really friendly.

Disliked: We pulled up outside this hotel was immediately put off, we turned around and drove away. The description is very misleading. The hotel looks very run down from the outside, there were toys amongst the weeds on the drive way. We didn't feel comfortable staying there at all.

Liked: Breakfast was mediocre at best, Dinner I elected to eat elsewhere and Room was barely clean (I picked up an open safety pin on the bathroom floor so it wasnt swept or hoovered, water ran for 5 minutes to have anything like a hot shave at 7, bed was two joined singes but with two toppers that give a lovely ridge to sleep on in the middle and where else can you book a 'Twin or Double ~ Disability Access' ON THE BLOODY FIRST FLOORI thought Basil or Manuel might be around and that's AA 5*

Nice location but really disappointing...

Liked: It’s in a very pretty rural setting. The building was lovely but needs work
Disliked: Our room was in the roof, we hadn’t been told that. There was only a roof window and the room was very small. The bed was painted blue and very dusty you could write your name in the shelf above too! There was beading on the shelf that wasn’t fixed at all, very shabby workmanship. The bedding looked ok but when we went to get in it there were several hairs on the sheets, in fact there were hairs on the edge of the sink and bath too. They do allow animals but we asked for an animal free room. In the morning there was no hot water the shower was freezing. I told reception at breakfast but was told I should have rang down to them when I was in the shower so they could send someone up to fix it. We hadn’t got time for that. The breakfast was hit and miss, They missed off our toast which ended up 1 slice each after the breakfast but without jam or marmalade. They forgot my husbands granola, yogurt and berry compote so brought it after the cooked breakfast and it was missing the granola! The bacon & egg was nice but the rest wasn’t great the mushrooms were like tough little bullets and the sausage tasted cheap. Not the best stay all in all it cost £135 which isn’t expensive but we’d still expect a hair free clean room with hot water and a better breakfast service than that. We’d stay somewhere else next time,
