Very poor
Liked: Staff where very pleasant
Disliked: Bed hard room not cleaned to my Stansted . Refugees in hotel ,we should have be told . About this as the children where running a round and breakfast was unpleasant as they where touching all the food ..

Liked: The breakfast, and comfortable beds.
Disliked: First room offered had strong smell of damp and signs of it on roof. The second room did not have a bath mat, for after showering. The reception was under staffed, with no means to return keys for a quick check out, e.g. Post box. Considering all items had to be paid for on check in, there was no reason for a guest to have to wait for reception to be manned to vacate.Facilities are in general aged and tired, but clean.

Apart from the issues mentioned...
Liked: it was comfortable. food was good.
Disliked: we stayed 2 nights and our room was not cleaned or towels changed. None of the cups that were used for tea and coffee were changed either. we were also woken up on the Saturday morning at 6 am by someone we assume a member of staff who banged on our door. we assume he had the wrong room. Also the fan in our room did not work.

poor quality hotel which suffers...
Liked: This is an ok location for what we needed. The staff were friendly and worked hard. The hotel was dog friendly
Disliked: This hotel is dog friendly but dogs are not even allowed in the bar area for food.The hotel looks tired and really needs investment. It was much nicer some years ago when we stayed hereThe hotel suffers from under investmentDog friendly but £20 per night for what you get is poorPaying for parking is very poor considering a major car park...this was not included in the costPaying for wifi these days is poor also, and once you have paid, it can only be for one deviceWe left 1 day early as it was not great
