Exceptional

Great facilities and friendly vibe,...

Liked: Friendly staff and spacious cabins that comfortably fit our family of four (with the kids on the fold-out lounge). The bathrooms were nice and big, kids loved the large spa bath after many hours on the road. Great on-site facilities, including laundry, restaurant, and bar—everything you need in one spot. The grassy outdoor areas were a bonus, and the kids had a great time making friends with the many caravaners.
Disliked: The cabin could have been better cleaned—there was quite a bit of dirt and rubbish under the fold-out lounge, and we noticed many stains on the carpet and outdoor furniture.

Really good overnighter after driving...

Liked: I really like the place and the range of accomodation/parking options. It is a good location for us, travelling with a car trailer (better to be outside Broken Hill!). The food is OK (but not exceptional) and the cabins are spacious and comfortable. We have stayed here three times, which does tell you something! Ten out of ten for lever action door locks of good quality! Ten out of ten for the bed. The sunset view is nice and the power line/substation position was perhaps beyond your control... The bathroom is huge and makes a nice change from many others.
Disliked: The units need improvement in details of design/fittings and maintenance. 1. The shower alcove does not have even a single shelf for soap nor a hook for shower caps and an anti-slip mat2. The bathroom does not have a single hook for clothes or a dressing gown.3. The fridge is too small and has no facility for standing up a bottle of milk or wine.4. The room could do with a decent table (which could be under the TV if it were higher on the wall. We brought the outside table in to rectify this for us - hot with flies outside that day!5. My wife couldn't reach the top shelves in the cupboard - glasses and crockery! 6. Maintenance needs improvement. Our towels were unfavelling at the ends (not acceptable for the price of a cabin), the TV is crooked on its hanger, there were empty bottles on the ground just outside the (excellent) veranday (surely someone does a daily run there?) and the fridge freezer was badly iced up - hadn't been defrosted for a long time I'd suggest. 7. The bathroom is very hot at the end of the day - double glazing and/or an external blind, as it does face the afternoon sun.Don't get me wrong. I really like this place and these are recommendations for improvement more than savage criticisms. I doubt they'd cost much to sort out. Maybe a matter for more detailed management...

This is NOT a resort,...

Liked: Not much to like honestly. Maybe the outdoor views when showering perhaps.
Disliked: This is NOT a resort and definitely no outback luxury has been redefined as their website claims. It's primarily a caravan park with some cabins added at the back. Motels are better.The rooms: They are dirty with broken trash cans, stained carpets, dirt and dust in the wardrobes and mould on the ceiling. The walls are thin and it's right next to the highway. So you hear road trains all night and people talking all day long. If you're wanting to escape any kind of city noise when in the outback, you'll be utterly disappointed.Location: It's at least 15-20 mins drive from the city. Which we knew when booking but you'd expect less noise and distraction for the distance. Which you don't get because of the rooms.The service: We stayed 3 days and 4 nights in their top end "Spa Cabin Studio". On the first day, they somehow "forgot" the service our cabin. When they do service it, it's clear that they don't vacuum the floor. Look at the photo of the bed that was supposedly "made" on our 3rd day. Haven't seen a lousier job.Others: Just be aware that there is practically no reception at their location, even with Telstra which is supposedly the best in the outback. And their wifi is pathetic to say the least.Maybe it's a good spot for caravans, but it's by no means a resort. Book a motel in the city instead.

Not what we expected...

Liked: The staff were warm and welcoming, and the location was beautiful. The atmosphere outdoors was our favourite part!
Disliked: We felt the room was not worth the money we paid. The room was covered in dust. There were dead bugs all over the bathroom floor, spider webs, and spiders. There were stains and damages everywhere. I understand we were in the background, but for what we paid...

Liked: This is an amazing property with very comfy cabins and a great bar/restaurant
Disliked: Just a little pricey and when busy the wait was lengthy, but the food was exceptional and highly recommended

Liked: Staff were friendly and super helpful. Issue with people in room next door and we got promptly moved no issues. Food was delicious!
Disliked: Does need a little bit of maintenance in room but nothing to worry about.
